Today we will read on this page how to apply a number filter and a text filter that only displays records that meet certain criteria.
Click on one of the cells inside the data set – > On the Data tab, in the Sort and Filter group, click Filter – > Arrows appear in column headers

To apply a number filter, perform the following steps:
Click on the arrow next to the sale – > Click on the number filter (this option is available because the Sales column contains numeric data) and choose Greater Than from the list -> Enter 10,000 and click OK – > Excel only displays records where sales exceed $ 10,000.

Text filter in excel
To apply a text filter, perform the following steps.
Click on the arrow next to the last name – > Click on the text filter (this option is available because the Last Name column contains text data) and select Equals from the list – > Enter ?m* and click OK.
A question mark (?) Matches exactly one character. An asterisk (*) corresponds to a series of zero or more characters.
