Label filters come in handy when you have a large list and you want to filter specific items based on its name / text.

For example, in the list of retailers, I can quickly filter all dollar stores using the ‘dollar’ located in the name.

Here are the steps to do this:

  • Go to Row Label Filter – Label Filter – Contains.

  • In the Label Filter dialog box: ains content ‘is selected by default (because the selection we made is in the previous step). You can change it here if you want.

  • Enter the text string for which you want to filter the list. In this case, it is the ‘dollar’.

  • Now click ok

You can also use wildcard characters with text.

Note that these filters are not additive. So if you search for the word ‘dollar’, it will give you a list of all the stores that contain the word ‘dollar’, but if you use this filter again to get the list using another word , Then it will be filtered based on the new word.

Likewise, you can use other label filters such as the one that starts with it, which does not have an end, etc.
